Please fill out your plans for what will generally happen before and after school. With this information, we can work together to ensure all children know and follow their arrival and dismissal plans.
We know that sometimes special situations will change your family routines for before and after school. That is okay. In a case where your normal plan changes and you need to let your child know about a change in plans, please call the school office by 3:00 PM so we can help facilitate the change with your child. If you pick your child up from an alternate location, please decide beforehand with your child where it is and what this location will be called so they can easily understand where to go.
On Thursday, July 28th and Friday, 29th from 9:00-11:00am, we will be hosting a Kindergarten Jumpstart! This is a great opportunity for students to begin meeting other kindergartners and getting a feel for the classrooms. Students will participate in mixed groups during this time. We will provide an opportunity for multiple teachers to meet your child. The short amount of time allows for students to adjust to the school climate and structure before the first day. Please fill out this form to let us know whether your child will or will not be attending. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend a parent orientation on Thursday, July 28th from 9:00-10:00 presented by Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Ankerson.
These two days are also a good time to turn in any additional paperwork to the main office. As a reminder we need your child’s birth verification, immunization record, physical, vision, dental, and any custody or legal documents by the first day of school. If you have any questions regarding health forms our nurse, Gina Miller, or our health tech, Jenny Johnson, can help answer your questions. Please reach out to them at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please let them know of any health conditions, medications planned to be given at school, or food restrictions.
We look forward to meeting your child at Kindergarten Jumpstart!
Parents often ask if there are supplies they need to purchase for their child. Nebraska Statutes guarantee that all schools provide a free, appropriate public education. Lincoln Public Schools provides all necessary basic supplies and equipment for students to use in their classroom.
Extra supplies that grade levels and teachers find helpful for the 2022-2023 school year can be found HERE. This is a voluntary donation, not a request or requirement for any child. If you would like to purchase any items, they can be dropped off at school or sent with your child.
The Lincoln Public Schools District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, age, genetic information, citizenship status or economic status in its programs, activities and employment.
